“They Don’t Know – Chris Brown feat. Aaliyah
2

A little while ago it was announced that Chris Brown is set to record a track featuring Aaliyah’s vocals. Finally we have a release date for it!

kempiredaily.com:

Chris Brown has revealed the official release date for the second official single from his new album “X” – “They Don’t Know”.

The Aaliyah assisted track, which features previously unheard vocals from the deceased singer, will be released Monday June 17th alongside the self-directed music video for the track.

Confirming the news on Twitter, the singer also revealed that the singles release will coincide with his new “Unity Campaign” which encourages “all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!”

Brown recently revealed that the music video for his new single was an attempt to merge both his world and the “hood” together to promote positivity.

A teaser of the music video was recently released by rapper Wale, who was shown the music video in Brown’s tour bus before posting a showing of the clip on Vine.

AALIYAH.PL

I wanted to wait with this information for a little longer, but just can’t seem to keep it for myself. In July Just-Aaliyah.Net will be 4 years old. I can’t really believe how fast time passed, it feels like I opened it yesterday. But everything has to come to and end or change. Therefore Just-Aaliyah.Net will become AALIYAH.PL
You already can access the site through new url. And basically thats why we currently have problems with layouts, new ones will be up as soon as possible but still, until then please update your bookmarks and spread the word. We gonna come back better and stronger, with more great stuff such as pix and videos of our beloved Babygirl.

Static Major – 5 Years Later

Today hits the 5th anniversary of Static Major unexpected death caused by failed medical surgery. The “forgotten” genius who penned hits for Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Brandy, Destiny’s Child, Pretty Ricky, Lil’ Wayne and many others. He may be forgotten to the world, but not for us. How his legacy looks 5 years later? Unfortunatelly, not good. Not only there is still no album released (Static worked on his debut album “Suppertime”), but his songs are getting re-recorded and released by other artists… We’re not sure how much Blackground losing its distribution deal with Interscope is causing this situation, but there are rumours that “Suppertime” may be out this year. We’re hoping that the rumours are true and soon we will be able to hear some new pearls from Static discography. Meantime, enjoy the Aaliyah/Static tracks we uploaded to our AUDIO CENTER, demos and unmastered versions from “Aaliyah”, brought by Static friends and fans from Static Major Is Music and You Know I Got Soul.

New Songs, Aaliyah’s Father Info & Update

After summer release of “Enough Said” more unreleased songs hit the web, “Quit Hatin” and “Girlfriends”, both produced by Knotch. Unfortunatelly, because RMM is removing download links, we won’t post any, but we can provide some background info about the songs. “Quit Hatin” is a mash-up of 2 unreleased tracks from “Aaliyah” session, the first verse is “He Keeps Me Shaking” and the rest is “Don’t Be Jealous”, both tracks were produced by Keybeats and written by great Static Major. You could hear the part of Aaliyah vocals sampled on A$AP Rocky track, “Fuckin’ Problems“. Unofficially, sources say that the leaked version isn’t the final edit which suppose to appear on the posthumous album, but is the version from upcoming mixtape from DJ Carisma and Dre Sinatra. The second track is no stranger to Aaliyah fans, original version of “Girlfriends” leaked online around 2007 and originaly was a track from Southernaire artist Yaushameen with Aaliyah on the featuring, written by Static.

We also have a sad news about Aaliyah’s father. Michael Haughton passed last year at the age 61. We were told that it happen on November 8th and the cause of death was kidney failure. Michael was laid to rest on November 23rd above his beloved daughter in Rosewood Mausoleum, Ferncliff Cemetery. May them both rest in peace.

At the end, the small update in Audio Center, we added songs Aaliyah recorded for movie soundtracks, the explicit version of “Come Back In One Piece” and more just-aaliyah exclusive tracks, inlcluding rare “Back & Forth” CHR edits, remix instrumental of “Don’t Know What To Tell Ya”, CD quality rips of Master At Work “More Than A Woman” mixes, “One In A Million” edits and rare “The Thing I Like” remix no rap edit and instrumental. All tagged now, but maybe in future we post clean versions ;)
